SID LWML SPRING RETREAT 2012

Dear LWML Sisters,

Greetings to you in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savoir! I pray that the Lord is blessing your new year with opportunities to serve Him.

The District Spring Retreat is coming on March 3, 2012. The theme this year is “Build a Life for Christ.” It will be held at Faith Lutheran Church in Mt. Vernon, IL.  The address and phone number are at the bottom of this letter. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. program starts at 9 a.m. There will be worship with Holy Communion.

Please promote this retreat to ALL the ladies of your congregation. This retreat is for anyone confirmed and older. Please note that you do not need to be a member of the LWML to attend this retreat! I encourage you to join us in learning how to “Build a Life for Christ.”

A collection of items will be gathered for Southern Thirty Adolescents Center in Mt. Vernon, they are affiliated with the LCFS. The follow is the list of ingathering items that may be brought: twin size blankets for boys, individual snacks, (healthy choices are best) ex. Popcorn, pretzels, whale crackers etc., detergent like Gain. Your society may wish to send a monetary gift and that will be accepted as well.

The retreat will begin at 8:30 a.m. with registration.  The event will conclude by 3:00 p.m. The cost for the day is $20.00 per person. Registration is due by February 20th. There will be hands on activities, fellowship time, Bible Study, and worship w/Holy Communion. Get a group of ladies together and spend a day learning to build a life for Christ!
